Emile Jansen

Winner of Canary Wharf Entertainment Award London 2008 and nominated at Cannes Corporate Festival 2022, Dutch actor Emile Jansen was born 21 November 1959 in Apeldoorn, Netherlands.

Aged five he decided to visit kids nursery school dressed like an Indian girl. Later this appeared to be his first role. After the Arnhem Drama School back in the 80s he went straight to work and appeared in numerous TV series and sit-coms both in The Netherlands and Germany.

Canary Wharf London 2008 honoured him for his lead role as CEO in mobile phone comedy series Shop-Spank.

Beside other independent feature films he appeared as Alexander Janssen in Fall of the Essex Boys (UK 2013) , Alain Plein in The rise and fall of a White Collar Hooligan (UK 2012) and as Dr.Magizmo in Annabelle’s Tea Party UK (2012).

Back in The Netherlands Emile Jansen played e.g. detective Huibert Rem in soap-series GTST for about 2 years and Dhr.Knopper in Winter in Wartime .

Later this year he plays Jacob in Dutch tv crime series Keizersvrouwen.
